Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products

Cleaning: I'm doing much more of it and I'm certain I'm not alone. I realize that not every person is into the possibility of DIYing everything so I needed to gather together a couple of the best all-normal and eco-friendly cleaning products available.
You can arrange a significant number of these eco friendly products on the web, yet you can likewise discover a ton of them at your neighborhood supermarket, yet before we even get into the brands, I need to distinguish what makes an eco-friendly cleaning item?

A Comfortable Place

“It’s what you read when you don’t have to that determines what you will be when you can’t help it.” Oscar Wilde

Just returning from a prolonged visit to the dentist with a half-numbed face, I picked up a cozy book I had been reading and tucked myself into the corner of our blue tweed sofa. Comfort time and just what the dental assistant had recommended. Actually she had suggested a nap and ibuprofen. I felt woozy but knew a good book could do more for me than an hour’s rest.

Jan Karon’s latest book, Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good, snuggled onto my lap. I had been reading it between writing assignments and my new found attraction, “Words Continue reading

Meeting our Heaven-Bound Baby

I slid into the salon chair, hung my jacket and purse on the spur-like cowboy hook, and glanced at my long-time hairdresser in the mirror. After more than 15 years of having her beautify my hair, we never lack for conversation.

Our families are at the heart of our conversation because, well, because we are mothers! Other than Jesus, is there anything closer to a mother’s heart than her family? All the Continue reading

Snowflakes Whisper in the New Year

Large flakes spaced far apart drifted down from the heavenly night sky creating a sense of newness. The Old Year was passing away. The slate was being purified and created for a New Year. As hubby and I looked at our unusual desert wonderland, we were as excited as little kids. The heart that Jesus wants coming to Him. We joked with our neighbors out in this barren wilderness a little before midnight they engaged in a snowball fight.

Then a hush fell over our scene. A pristine blanket of white thickly layered over our lawn spoke of possibilities with God. His sense of humor. His heart to delight us. And we drank deeply of the intoxicating scene. As we closed the door on snow we hoped would still be there tomorrow, we closed the door on last year. Its trials, its joys. The splendor of its love. A love experienced deep within our souls. Continue reading

Taste and See

Hubby and I just returned from a whirlwind vacation in Europe. And if I had to re-title this tour, it would be known as a “A Taste of Europe.” We covered 8 countries (itinerary says 9, but not really) in 21 days. That is monumental and exhausting. We stopped in most cities only one night. Just enough time to march through the city with a tour guide trying to communicate with us through audio headphones that crackled, chopped off words, and sometimes lost the sound altogether. We saw wondrous sculptures from ancient Rome, gilded palaces in some towns, manicured gardens replete with color, chocolate in Belgium, France, and Switzerland, and a taste of each country’s delicacies.

But a taste was not enough to feel like we had merged with the culture of each city if even for a short time. For the most part, we were observers gulping the life around us and Continue reading

Secured with His Safety

As this day winds to a close, I wonder how so many of you have had the ability and perseverance to write for 31 days straight. I applaud you! That is an amazing feat. I only took on 11 days, I think, and I found it difficult to post everyday and work around my schedule. It definitely tells me that I would need some posts planned out ahead (imagine that!) and probably could only post 3 days a week at the maximum.

So tonight, I’ll post a Scripture and a photo, hoping to find more time tomorrow!

“Many, Lord, are asking, ‘Who will bring us prosperity?’
Let the light of your face shine on us.
 Fill my heart with joy
when their grain and new wine abound.

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
    for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:6-8 NIV
