“His Eye is on the Sparrow”

Humming Bird Perched on Her Nest

Humming Bird Perched on Her Nest

“My soul yearns, even faints,

for the courts of the Lord

my heart and my flesh cry out

for the Living God.

Even the sparrow has found a home,

and the swallow a nest for herself,

where she may have her young–

a place near your altar,

Lord Almighty, my King and my God.

Blessed are those who dwell in your house

they are ever praising you.” Psalm 84:2-4 NIV

The sparrow, the swallow, and the little humming bird above know the peace and love that are found near the Lord’s dwelling place. Our hearts should also long to dwell close to the richest of gifts found in the presence of our Lord and King. The one true God.

  2. Gorgeous photo! Love the Scripture you chose to go with it – that is also the inspiration for one of my favorite worship songs, Better is One Day.

  3. Janis – this is just a beautiful pairing of your photo with Scripture! May we always remember that our hearts are His dwelling place & should long to be in His Presence. Have a blessed Sunday!
